On the Street

The conforming “high cost” loan limit for San Mateo County in 2009 will be $625,500. In the rules set forth in the Stimulus Act enacted earlier in 2008, loans had a limit of $729,750.This will expire by the December 31, 2008.  It is possible to still secure the higher amount. Check with your lender for details.

We are seeing some offers coming in on select properties but at this point significantly under the asking prices. These offers have not come to terms acceptable to the sellers.

There has been a higher than usual number of properties coming on the market for this time of year.
